5:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Launch from:     DNR Boat Launch, Clay Township (across from Kroger)

Restaurant:        Catch 22

We will be paddling a short distance across the North Channel of the St. Clair River, then turn right into Russell Island, through the canals of the island and across the North Channel again and back to the start.  Along the way we will hear about the history of the area and learn some interesting facts about the local ecosystem!  Clay Township Fire Department will have a safety boat on hand for escort. We will meet after the paddle for food and cheer at Catch 22.

Note:  A certified paddle guide will be leading each event on the water. Children 6-17 years old must be attended by a parent, no children under 6 years old allowed at the event.  Don’t forget your hat, sunscreen and non-alcoholic beverage!  Life jackets must be worn on all waterways.  There is no rain-out alternate date; we will paddle unless the weather involves lightening.  Each event is capped out at 33 participants.  The $10 fee is non-refundable.  Kayak rentals are available to reserve at registration, below.
